Definitely agree with Da Gang, being a J2EE guy myself.

And, remember the story of Win 95 vs IBM OS2?

But, one more thing is:
I never feel super proud of what I am doing, or which firm/client
I am with -- be it microsoft, bank of American or some anonymous
small firm, $ is $.

To me, J2EE or .Net is just a way of technology to conduct business.
And to us, a way to make $.

If people are so concerned with "performance", then, the best
is to go back to school and try to be a researcher -- but, even
in that case, I doubt it makes any sense.

Don't forget: Sooner or later, J2EE and .Net will be gone, replaced,
