All, I just got time to write up this email. Scott has pretty much said it all in his email. Thanks. Please read Scott's email carefully one more time. Only one more point I want to add: next time we play a team like that, we have to play anti-attack. About the cards, so far our team has 2 reds and 2 yellows, with 28 penalty point. If it reaches 30 points, 9 game point is to be deducted from the team, which is equivalent to a winning game. We cannot afford that. What happened in the last game is history. Let's try to forget about it and look forward. We are still in the 4th place. If things go well, we shall be in the playoffs, which is our goal for this season. So it is very important that from now on in next 3 games, no more cards, no more, does not matter what the circumstances are. Please follow!!!! Also, ALL players please try to have your body back into 'working' shape in next few days. Last 3 weeks resting is really hurting the team. I am doing a lot of exercise and am going to play this coming Sunday. Live or dead. PS, I have received comments from 5+ players about distracting, negative talks on the fields. Let's try not to do that any more. It has never been meant to be offending, but the end result have never been what you initially expected ....Always..... Just remember this. But believe or not, it's a good thing to lose to a better team and learn. Obviously they are a better team with skills and good team positioning. Their finish was also as sharp. Like a lot of you have said, losing a game is no big deal. I fully agree with that. Assessing what we are, we are an aged team with talents. But in general, our teamplay is under par with our opponent. We tend to walk when we don't have the ball. We are not vigourously trying to make ourself open to our team-mate has the ball. Our defense covering is loose. Our protection is not as tight. These problems exists long before yesterday's game. They were suddenly showing up when we facing a good team, who by wide and accurate ball crossing, tore up our defensive line. ( Excuse me for refering more on defense. Certainly the problem goes far beyound that. ) Our goal was exposed numerous times and you don't see that when we are playing a mediocre team. Even we had given our ever best performance, we might as well lose to a much superior team. But this is not my point. The point is to stay competitive and don't easily give up. When facing a stronger team, we need to step up and play at a different level. That requires more concentration and more team work. In my opinion, we lose so many goals not because we didn't try, but because we are not trying as a team. We could have a close game playing them. The first 20 minutes of 2nd half we were pressing them and had a few shots. And at that time the score was 1:3, which was not as bad. We as a unexprienced and un-matured team, made many mistakes, and commonly those mistakes were not leveraged by a mediocre team. But this team was fatal to leverage our mistakes. And once the 4th goal was scored unfortunately,it's like the flood gate was opened, undertandably. The red card incident was unnecssarily but I guess we are all men and has our temper. We could have done much wisely and I am sure we will take the lesson for the rest of the season--- we can't afford any card now! I guess all I want to say is: * We learn things from our losses. * We are not as bad a team as the score shows. It could have been a close game. * We should have better communcation on and off the field. Each player will need to know what he supposes to do and not to do under various situations. No matter how good indivisually we are, we shall keep improving our team-play. ( this is a long topic.) Go Dragons! Scott
