Qualifications/Requirements
· 2+ years experience as a Powerbuilder programmer/analyst.
· 4 year degree in computer science or a related discipline (or a 2 year degree with appropriate data processing experience) preferred
· 4 to 7 years overall data processing experience.
· Ability to generate programs and design application systems in response to end-user requirements with the degree of complexity and responsibility increasing as experience is gained. Capable of providing guidance or supervision to junior programmers/analysts in development and testing of complex modules.
· Ability to work with customers and/or business systems analysts to define customer requirements, create internal design documents, test plans, etc.
· Proficient in estimating project requirements.
· Team player, with a willingness to learn.
· Strong SQL knowledge required.
· Working knowledge of UNIX preferred.
· Experience with Sybase preferred.
· Experience supporting accounting systems a plus.
Responsibilities
· Provide technical expertise to design, code, and test moderate to highly complex applications systems in response to end-user requirements.
· Develop and test modules in response to design specifications and in adherence to departmental standards, with assistance from senior team members or with minimal to no direct supervision (depending on experience).
· Design processing modules; generate internal and external design documents, technical specifications, test plans, system flows and other documentation.
· Work with customers and/or business systems analysts to define customer requirements.
· Create and execute test plans to ensure no errors remain prior to product delivery.
· Support production processing, correcting program abends, documenting problems and fixes including rotating on-call support duties.
· Maintain current, detailed knowledge of automated processing languages, techniques, software and hardware to serve design and development role.

Requirements:
· Four-year college degree in computer science or a related discipline.
· Eight to ten years data processing experience.
· Expertise in the use of modern project management techniques and tools (MS Project).
· Experience in leading a project team through the design, coding, testing and implementation phases of application development.
· Ability to coordinate multiple complex projects which involve interaction with other systems and departments.
· Ability to lead large development efforts.
· Ability to organize and lead meetings involving appropriate groups in relation to project activities.
· Strong understanding of business systems and objectives is preferred.
· Customer Service focus.
· TRIPS experience is desired, but not required
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate all project activities relating to the design, development, and implementation of all new and existing application systems.
· Evaluate systems and projects for compliance to corporate strategy and submit recommendations to senior management.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive plans for assigned systems and projects that efficiently represent project-defined goals and dates.
· Provide maintenance and enhancements to existing applications.
· Create plans that assure projects conform to corporate tactical objectives as well as provide excellent support to the end-user.
· Ensure project team adherence to corporate and departmental standards and policies: review and approve system requirements definition, external and internal designs, code development, unit and system test results, documentation, and training materials.
· Assist in defining directions for researching and evaluating software/hardware configuration and integrating new technology into existing or developing business systems.
· Provide strong leadership to project staff by building and maintaining positive morale and maintaining focus of the group. Provide coaching and employee feedback as needed.
· Initiate search for new employees and interview candidates, present hiring recommendations to Sr. Manager.
· Communicate/report project status and any issues in which assistance is needed to Sr. Management.
