I just finished reading all the 214 emails, it was tough, and tough to be back to work! Looking at the game result, team has 1 tie and 1 loss with 4 points total, which is OK in this 30B division to start with. But surely we can do better later......

It was really hard for me to be away from soccer and the team for two weeks, missing 2 games, and numerous practices. Man!

First, Taiwan is really a treasure island. It is a lot better that I thought. Pay a visit or two is really worth the time and effort. I may suggest several places to visit if you are going.

Secondly, my solute to Li Huan, who took over the team matters during my absence. It may seem trivial, but in order to be responsible, it is not as easy as you might think. Thank you, Li Huan.

Thirdly, back to team business. Just as Li Huan emphasized in his previous email, communication is the key to the team success, via proper channels, of course. I always receive good hearted suggestions actively from players like Li Huan, Eric Zhang, Scott Bao, Ray Han, and Jian Dong etc., who take a piece of their busy time to show how much they care to the success of the team. Depending on the situations, I may/may not adopt the ideas right away, but they never give up. I am always warmed and encouraged by them.

Many of us have known each other for many years and very familiar with each other. This is good. However, sometimes, it occurs to me that maybe we could pretend that we never know each other when we play soccer, so that everybody has to show and prove yourself in order to be identified and adopted by the team. It would be just like you are joining a new soccer community. In this way, all games would be more sincere and serious, players would be on time more often, players tend to encourage teammates more often, and you normally do not blame on teammates when you are new but play, play, and play.

Please think this again, what would it be like if 'we do not know each other'. Maybe mentally we should try it in next few games.

Lastly, I am really happy that I am back. I am happy that I can play soccer tonight. It has been a while, and I may be out of shape already. But, who cares. I just love to play.....

BTW, does anyone still remember why our team marches into 30B division?

Cheers,
Chen, Si
