Li Huan, Feeling sorry not able to be there for the game. But, don't worry too much. Stuff like that happens and we will bounce back . Warming up late in the season seems to be our pattern. I came back Monday from San Jose and met the Tiger team during my stay. They just clinched the championship of San Jose premier open league. I am surprised to see these 35+ guys play at a very high physical level. They have a general scrimmage game on Saturday open to everyone and a serious private practice session on Sunday. They do not play any games in practice. Instead, they practice running pattern, crossing, long range shots, corner kicks, free kicks, even throw-in. Watched their long shots far from the big forbidden box and I am surprised to see their acuracy and power. So I think may be we need to do some things which can benifit us in the real game. Instead of immeditely start our scrimmage, we can spend 10 minutes doing long crossing and 10 minutes doing long shots and maybe some other stuff. Then we can have some fun play games. If we decide to do so, we are definetely short of balls. Need 7-8 balls for the team. Injury and fitness is another thing troubling us aging players. I am having knee problem since last season and it seems getting worse in the winter. Workout and recoditioning is necessary. Some drugs may help too. I think most of us will do all we can to prolong our life of soccer. Happy and Smart play ! Scott Li Huan wrote: > Well, what should I say.
