Dragons,

The Spring 2002 season is about to begin:

1) This Thursday 01/10/02 I will go to the league meeting to pick up
team's registration package;
2) Registration will start on Saturday, 01/26/02, which is about two
weeks from now.
3) 1st League game will be on Sunday 02/17/02.

We shall play in 30B division, as most of us have been asking for.
However one pity: there will be a few players leaving the team, and we
have not found confirmed potential add-ins yet!

Daniel Wang is for sure leaving, who is in Central America countries.
Most likely Lao Tang will miss this coming season. I have not heard from
/seen He Yi for quite some time, who indicated at the end of last season
not able to play due to injury.

BinBing's friend could be a good additions to the team. Anybody else?
Eric might be thinking about something...

League rule is being changed such that any over 30 (birth year 1972+)
division teams could have up to 25 players on their rosters. I know in
the past more than a few requests for joining team Dragon have been
turned down due to the restrictions of having at most 21 players on the
team roster. So this season, please feel free to recommend any players
again to the team if you THINK he is up to the average level of the
team. Most likely he is going to be added onto our roster. Thanks.

The fee remains the same: $45 per player flat fee + $350 referee fee per
team.

So let's all get geared up and ready for the MOST exciting and
challenging season of Spring, 2002! (Or a disaster season of Dragon
history?)

Cheers,
Chen, Si

PS, Li Huan's injury cut above his eye cost him 12 stitches. And he is
in good condition, mentally, I think. So we shall all be careful from
now on, extremely..... careful.......

PS, PS, I found one email that I sent out last season, let's read it and
laugh it way for now.

************************* BEGIN ********************
Dragons,

We had a 'great' and 1st game loss of the season. And FC Devan ended
their 5 loosing stream and had their 1st win!

Yes, we are struggling now in the 30C division, as we all expected when
team decided to move up one more level.

Almost everybody agreed that team just could not score in the 2nd half
and agreed that if we had more players, situation would not have
improved too much!!!

Do not want to repeat what has been said for many many times already,
such as we had total control for 45 min etc. etc..!

We all know our strength and weakness. So after seeing following
symptoms:
1) Only a few shots were made in 45 minutes!
2) Very few cross-over balls from either side!
3) No fighting energy on the front line!
4) Couldn't make a good pass!
5) Couldn't receive a good pass!

I will propose to change the way we play offense, possibly by moving the
players if no improvements are seen!!! Team, we really need to change
the HABIT of team offense.

The very first thing we need to do is to improve team's desire to
'SHOOT', long and mid-range shooting. This will be our main focus during
Thursday's practice.

All, if you think you can be more suitable or willing to try out a new
position, I will be more than happy to do it for you.

I really want to mix up the offense line!

Again, please voice your agreements/disagreements/comments how to
improve the team. I am in trouble now. I need your help. I need team's
help.

Or maybe we are simply too week to be staying in this division? Not
suitable?
****************** END ***************************
