All, Since there are so many new soccer players being added into the distribution list, it seems very necessary to resend the 'General Guidelines' we came up with last April, 2001, to ensure the pleasant and continuous play of each practice. Cheers, -Chen, Si => => ************************************************************************ **** => => Top Rule => ====== => No soccer fans/players shall be refused to play on any given => practices because we all play for FUN and exercises. => => General Guidelines => ============== => 1) No more playing in a 'BIG' field in the first hour after the => announced time. Maybe no BIG field at all for the given practice. This is => based on the fact that having 26+ people playing on the BIG field just leads => to more chaos and injuries. => => 2) First game with 16 'early-arrived' player may start in a small => field without adding more players in an hour or so. => => 3) Subsequent players might have to wait for more people (10+) to => start second game. => => 4) Depending on the actual headcounts (~ one hour after announced => time) for the given practice, if we have: => 4.1) headcounts <= 16, we are fine with small field; => 4.2) 16 < headcounts <= 26, we could move to BIG field or => stay in the same field. => 4.3) 26 < headcounts <= 32, we have two small field games => going on. No BIG field playing. => 4.4) 32 < headcounts <= 42, 1st game's players have the => privileges to decide whether to add those late comers and move to the BIG => field or stay put in which case 2nd game's players must add late comers into => the game or move to the BIG field. => 4.5) headcounts > 42, we are core-dump'ed. => => 5) The game time sent out is the exact time or announced time, no => lead time is added (I am hoping Tom could agree....). If you are one hour => late, please please do not show up for the courtesy of rest players, even => though you know you will be added into the game this time. But you are => disgraceful if you are taking the advances all the time!!! We might have to => watch who those people are. =>
