Yes, our dream did come true. We get our hands on the bigger one in our first appearance in this competitive division. What a thrilling and memorable experience for all of us. I am so excited and get a sleepless night, mainly due the pain from my right ankle though. It was one of the toughest playoff games we have ever played. Starting from Sunday morning, I was so afraid of phone rings. Up to 11 AM, we have already lost one third of the team. With a couple of more rings, we could actually give up the championship and all our effort toward this direction. When Ray came to PRC and told us he got flu and could not play, the only word I said to myself is "oh shit". This means we only have two subs in the midfield at most given that the rest of us will show up. Man, this is 30C championship game and we are going face a very physical team. I started to worry if many of us have enough gas to sustain the game. However, it was proved later that all my worries are unnecessary. All our players are so pumped and determined to win the game. I was deeply impressed by the great passion, fighting spirit, and excellent team work you showed yesterday. Xiao Su, who came to the game without having his breakfast and lunch, and Don Jian, who is just recovered from his injury since the first game in the regular season, managed to hang on for most of the game time and got their job well done. Our defense players, especially Chen Jun, did an excellent job on freezing up the opponent's #53, who is definitely a superb player in this division given his speed, skills, and energy. He is only allowed with two small angle shots and a couple of crossings. Xiao Ye saved us big time, especially during the last 15 ~ 20 minutes when I had to stay on the sideline due to a serious injury on my right ankle. Without his help, we would have a very difficult time and could end up with the smaller trophy. Scott got another one! It is the milestone for us to come back after we accidentally allowed a goal from a throw-in. Congratulations to Scott for scoring two crucial goals for the team in the playoff games. Our midfield and strikers took the possession very well and created much more score opportunities than our opponent did. An excellent team work between Andy and Dick earned a penalty kick for us in the 87th minutes. He Yi put the ball into their net, which lead to our final victory. It was a great come-back. We desrve every bit of it. we showed we are the strongest and most balanced team in 30C. We showed that we become maturer in terms of encouraging each other and not affecting by the biased calls from a sideline referee. This is such a great team. I am so proud to be one of you. Finally but not the least, on behalf of team Dragon, I would like to thank all family members and friends for their continuous support, especially those who came to the field to cheer for the team. You guys are our 12th player on the field and our dream may not come true, at least may not come so quickly, without your support. Lets wait Mr. Captain and other team members coming back to have our deserved celebration party.
