Team, Scott has very good points there. I really appreciate your enthusiasms and constant support, Scott. So, there will be two teams on Thursdays. Red & White. I would be the caption of one and ask Li Huan to be captain of the other. I prefer defense vs offense. We pretend playing like 'REAL'. BTW, all x-Dragons had their old positions, and are team-oriented, therefore they also could be quite effective. Should be great help to the overall practices. Uhm...... things are getting pretty excited now....... Aren't we a great bunch? A few short term goals I hope the team can get out of practices immediately: 1) the involvement of all defenders in ball-passing and attacking; 2) the communications between R/L/C mid-fielders and forwarders; Star player is great, but in a much higher level of games, team skill integrity will show eventually. 3) Please keep your temper to yourself, and ALWAYS try to encourage your teammates, like Li Huan/Scott/Ray suggested. If you wish to have your name listed on the NoShow list, please let me know. Any time the number of players to show drops below ten, the session is to be cancelled if no helpers from x-Dragons etc. are available. " In the cancellation policy, "the number of players " should include those veteran Dragon players. It is quite possible that only 10 out of 17 "to-show-players" are coming. By the way, how may veteran dragon players are out there ? How many of them can show up normally ? I think as long as we players be disciplined ( sharp on time ) and two teams are divided even, we will have a lot of fun. A couple of things I would like to recommend to our practice: 1) Be sharp on time! 2) Divid the team evenly with option 1: mixed of defenders, fowards and midfields option 2: defense vs offense. option 3: pick by the two "captains" 3 ) Fault calling: If you see an obvious fall, call "FALL" and the play should stop and resume with indrect kick. 4) Sideline: Need to have side line. This will help us undertand how to fully use the field. All balls needs to be thrown in. ( God know how many times we had illeagal throwins ). 5) "captain" on each team to decide the play position of each players. 6 ) always bring two sets of jersey ( white and color ). -Scott "Chen, Mark" wrote: Dragons, Here is the stats on the voting: 18 out of current 21 league players voted 'YES'; 1 player voted 'Does not matter'; 2 players have not voted yet (all having yahoo.com address). And 2 Dragon Veteran said 'YES'. No objections so far. So based on the voting results, team Dragon will have regular team practices on Thursdays at 8:00pm PRC. The goal of practice is to, as Scott puts it, "know each other better and improve the level of play, and more discipline and fun". For league players, we will maintain two lists: ToShow list and NoShow list. 1) Players on the ToShow list must notify the team if he is not able to show up by email or by phone; 2) Players on the NoShow list must notify the team if he is to show up. This is discipline. The purpose is to always have enough and adequate players for each practice and to ensure the FUN of each practice. So, the following players would not show normally due to job and family etc.: Ray Han, Eric Zhang, Alex Xing, and BinBing Wang. The rest of league players (17) are being put to the ToShow list. If you wish to have your name listed on the NoShow list, please let me know. Any time the number of players to show drops below ten, the session is to be cancelled if no helpers from x-Dragons etc. are available. So let's start our 1st practice session this Thursday at 8:00pm. Again all Dragon Veterans are welcome to attend the practices without any notices. Go Dragons, -Chen, Si (972)461-4188 (W) PS, We had a pretty bad last-20-minutes game yesterday. We all have SEEN it happen before. It was like a REPLAY. We all know we lost the control and everybody wanted to do something about it, but ...... no body could do anything about it, including myself. That was the problem. My view on it is that our team needs more Disciplines and Emotion Controls of our games to reach full maturity of team Dragon. I am hoping that through practices and more games we could achieve that. We fall, we learn, and we improve (hopefully)! Finally, please, each player think deeply: "what could I have done in the last game to improve the team?" and "what team should do as whole?" Let's bring these thoughts to the Thuresday practices and improve ourselves as a team. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------- Scott Bao | | fax: 469-255-9490 Cisco Systems, Inc .|||. .|||. voice: 469-255-4176 2200 E.
